Korekiyo as Ultimate Hypnotist? Cuz to me, it would be awesome.
kinda fitting imo
Hypnotism was a talent Kiyo didn’t know he had until he first learned about hypnotism in middle school. Since then, he’d become quite the name attached to hypnotism.
Of course, he didn’t do it to any unwilling participants. Safety, both mental and physical, was his top priority, and that wouldn’t happen if the person wasn’t fully willing.
He wouldn’t mind going into hypnotism therapy, but for the time being, he was a bit of an entertainer. It wasn’t the worst thing, as he impressed many people with his skills.
Some people were still a bit wary of him and hypnotism in general, and he couldn’t quit blame them. It was understandable to be afraid of something they didn’t understand the process of.
That didn’t deter him, however. It was something he was good at, that he could use to help people with the proper training that he would get after graduation. It would be just fine.

What about au where smiler was partially marmalised and works for the ministry and is trying to manipulate Victor and Alice into getting marmalised and becoming advocates
*waggles hand* So, not opposed to such an AU, but it would have to end with Alice and Victor getting Smiler out of the Ministry instead of Smiler successfully getting them to become Advocates. Reason being is, well, a Smiler working for the Ministry and trying to manipulate Victor and Alice is an unethical mind controller! And we know what Alice does to unethical mind controllers:
Tumblr media
[ID: Animated gif by thedestinysunknown of the moment in A:MR when Alice, in her Wonderland form, shoves Bumby off the platform of the Underground station and into the path of an oncoming train]
Yeaaah, if you've ever thought my Smiler seems a little nice when compared to the coaster's actual theme, that's the reason. I had to give them ethics, otherwise they were going to get stabbed. So yeah, an AU like that would have to be along the lines of Smiler trying to get Victor and Alice to join up, only for Victor and Alice to instead show THEM how the Ministry is actually not really interested in happiness and is pretty evil honestly and get them out of there. (Which is actually not dissimilar to what happens in my Londerland Bloodlines AU (after the events of the game), where Smiler THINKS they've joined a group interested in making people happy and helping them through rough patches in their lives, but in fact the Ministry they've fallen in with is Ministry as in "Formerly The Followers of Set," and THEY'RE more interested in corrupting people with false joy...awful shame that they end up targeting Victor...)

Hypnotic triggers, just like everything else with the hypnosis community's understanding, is limited and flawed.
In general, when people do not understand how something works, they will imitate those who did it before them and ultimately give importance and distinctions to things that are arbitrary.
A hypnotic trigger, just like any psychological trigger, is an A, a stimulus, that causes B, a recalled stimulus. Neither A nor B need to be reinforced but are useful to do, most especially B.
Triggers are also not stronger than regular suggestion, they are just more convenient and more compressed. You create a concept in someone's head, a Thing, and associate effects, ideas, and feelings with it, so you can then have someone recall all of those effects, ideas, and feelings without needing to completely re-explain it. It is not unlike learning any other concept and its meaning. You are creating a new definition for what some stimulus means.
You could generate the same effects, if not stronger ones, without a trigger, but condensing it all into one moment is inherently useful and can lead to a myriad of possibilities, which can ultimately add up to more than the sum of their parts. Time and timing is important in hypnosis, and triggers save it.
While the "B", the effect, does not need to be conditioned (for any subject a somewhat competent hypnotist has any experience with, you should be able to prime the A and B with a single sentence and have it work at least moderately well), it is much more useful to condition it deeply. Triggers do not really atrophy if someone did an even somewhat passable job of conditioning, but it does need to be refreshed before use via priming and evoking the necessary ideas in the subject's mind.
The more the subject's mind needs to work to interpret something you've said, the more they will be taken out of that state where they're being guided. If the first time you use it in months isn't set up and as such doesn't work as well as it used to because of the need to process it, the subject will be convinced it doesn't work as well, and then it will actually have lessened effects due to the perception.
As for the "A", the trigger phrase, it is hardly necessary to actually have a deeply installed one outside of the effects of expectation and general structure you operate your subjects with. I even have a test to demonstrate exactly this, for experienced subjects only.
Trance itself is a conditioned idea that is then triggered. An experienced subject has the concept of Trance in their head: its effects, its ideas, and its feelings. It is always a limited conception of what trance is, but it is the reference point for what hypnosis is to someone. Most times, when a drop trigger or a fast sink into trance is done in any way, the subject is effectively triggering themselves with a stimulus A to reach the generalized stimulus B of trance itself. Memory recall is what brings someone down, and it does not require a traditional trigger to work.
If you are an experienced subject, I want you to try something for me. This is called the Orange Test. Ready?
Oranges are hypnotic now.
Think of an Orange.
If you have begun to find yourself sinking into a light to moderate trance, you may realize how utterly arbitrary all of this is. Your mind knows what trance feels like, and some magic ritual of the right words is not what is needed to access it.
Oranges are no longer hypnotic, in fact, they wake you up. Think of an orange again.
The thing is, you don't even need to tie it to any concept in particular.
Just remember what trance feels like. Focus on the idea. You might find that you can go into trance all on your own, skipping the line from A to B through initiating memory recall yourself.
This principle of memory recall is generally why I do not use drop triggers or anything a person has pre-installed. These fictional misunderstood boundaries the hypnosis community makes up have a self-perpetuating nature, one where someone being convinced of them creates a "pass or fail" state in their brain.
If you don't follow these correctly, you are doing hypnosis "wrong", and they are taken out of trance. It is why the first thing I do is educate someone, and why the second is to softly take down every barrier they have. Beyond that point, their mind is a fresh canvas, and not one with the lines painted for me by those who believe that canvases just come that way.
Painting by numbers is convenient for hobbyists, but limiting for anyone beyond that.

It’s 9:30 am on a Monday, my regularly-scheduled time for a workout. Like always, I pad across the floor of the living room, roll out the yoga mat, arrange the dumbbells, and flip open my laptop to find a follow-along strength training video on YouTube.  The algorithm knows my patterns and proclivities. Populating the first row of content is a perfect encapsulation of my weekday psyche: a thirty-minute shoulders and abs video, a fresh episode of The Bald and the Beautiful to listen to while I complete it, and for relaxing afterward, a 60-minute livestream in which a sweet-faced middle-aged mother named Sammie is repeatedly dropped into a hypnotic trance and made to repeat mantras of obedience and servitude by her loving hypnotist and boyfriend.  I love all the sides of hypnotized Sammie: when she is made to be a giggling maid, and when she dons fuzzy ears and mewls like a cat; when she devotedly calls her hypnotist Master and erases her memories for him, and when she freezes, smilingly, into a happy doll begging to be played with. I’ve watched all of her hours-long livestreams in their entirety, some of them multiple times, her vacant, entranced stares and stiff, robotic movements sending my own body roaring into a satisfied climax, sometimes without even touching myself.  But I am not attracted to Sammie at all. In fact, I’m not at all attracted to women. To the extent that my sexuality involves making contact with other people, I’m a gay man, exclusively interested in other queer men. But to even bother with that distinction confuses things a bit, because ultimately my sexual orientation does not hinge upon people’s identities or bodies. Though I can admire the beauty of all kinds of people, and even feel a handsome man igniting my curiosity at times, ultimately I’m just not really “into” human beings at all. What I’m into is hypnosis. Or mind control, brainwashing, and conditioning, if you like. Hypnosis is the bedrock that holds my psychosexual landscape together; without it any potential engagement in sex slips, and falls apart into nothing. Hypnosis is the anchor that keeps my insatiable libido grounded; without it, any possibility of having satisfying sex floats away, and my mind dissociates from the event as it’s happening.   I’m a deeply sexual person, and I always have been. I discovered masturbation early, at around four or five, and took part in it actively, getting caught a few times as a kid before I learned to sequester into my bedroom for it early in the morning and late at night. Beginning in my teen years, I got into the habit of pleasuring myself for between an hour and a half to two hours per day, and that rate has continued throughout much of my adult life.  And yet, I am also asexual — because as much as my body craves sexual release, and as often as I pursue sex, my drive has no relationship to how other people look, or anything else about them, and my release doesn’t need to involve any specific sexual activities at all.  Hypnosis is sex to me. Even in its most stagey and sterile forms, I find it inescapably erotic — and that leaves sex itself as just some boring party trick. You can touch me, or you can perform a series of backflips in front of me on the floor; either way I’ll tell you that you’ve done a very impressive job and all but it will not make me cum.

Gosh I know everyone loves the idea of a stage hypnotist with a skeptical audience member, but what about a stage hypnotist with a skeptical assistant?? A new assistant doesn’t actually believe in their boss’ abilities, so the hypnotist proves their skills (and gets a new toy along the way)?
Ooooo I really like this! That’s great, honestly.
Zoey was running low on funds.
That’s what she repeated to herself over and over as she approached The Magnificent Matteo’s studio for the first day of her new job.
Magic was bullshit, and everyone knew it.
Maybe there was one moment when she went to that Vegas show and thought it was real but that was 6 years ago and she was very, very drunk whilst watching.
And now here she was, stone cold sober and regretting her life choices which led her here.
“Zoey?” A voice called. Matteo. “Come in, come in! Welcome. You can leave your coat wherever you want. Let me show you around.”
He was nice enough. Here’s the coffee machine, here’s your desk, I know some good lunch spots around here, blah blah blah.
“And this is where the magic happens…. Literally!” He laughed a bit too hard at his joke. Zoey was sure he told it to every person who walked through the door.
The props caught her eye: fake flowers, top hats, a wand, and a large collection of pocket watches.
“Ah, I see you’ve found my favourite section.” He said, somehow appearing behind her, causing Zoey to jump. “Magic and hypnosis are closely linked, you know.”
She hummed in agreement, not trusting that her words wouldn’t come out as something like “yeah, they’re linked because neither of them are real.”
Matteo selected a watch from the display.
“Have you ever been hypnotised, Zoey?” He asked.
She shook her head and resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
“Interesting. I usually pick an audience member. They tend to think it’s fake if I use my assistant, but I often need the practice. Would you be comfortable with aiding me in the future?”
She couldn’t say she didn’t believe, as that would ultimately reveal how she truly saw his profession. Instead, she settled on an answer she thought would get her out of ‘practice’ whilst keeping the lie up.
“I don’t think I can be hypnotised.”
The sparkle in Matteo’s eye made her grimace. She’d clearly said the wrong thing.
He gestured for her to sit.
“Would you mind if I put that to the test?”
She nonchalantly shrugged. It was fine, Zoey could just play along if she had to. She’d at least be able to use her acting degree for something.
Matteo dangled the pocket watch in-front of her eyes.
She watched as it heavily swayed back and forth. Slowly rocking. The clock face ticked, ticked, ticked as each second passed.
Another second that she was regretting not taking a job like dog walking or an unpaid internship.
“Just keep your eyes focused on the back and forth motion.”
Matteo’s voice was deeper now. Softer, too. Zoey had to admit his change in demeanour stirred something within her.
It was a pretty watch. Not one of those janky toy watches where the cover would snap off 5 minutes after you bought it. This looked like a family heirloom, or something someone with plenty of money to throw around would buy. Not that she’d know anything about that.
Matteo was still talking to her in that deep, soft voice, but honestly? Zoey had zoned out already. Focus was never her strong suit. Follow the dopamine, or whatever.
She simply let her mind drift as the watch dragged her eyes left to right to left to right…
“I’m going to count to three and snap my fingers. Once I do you’re going to fall into a deep, deep trance.”
Okay, sure bud. Whatever you say.
“One… two… three…”
SNAP
Everything went dark. Underwater. Zoey could hear people laughing. Cheering. Her thoughts were just out of reach, like a dream slipping through your fingertips as you wake up.
SNAP
She jolted awake, and the cheers surrounded her.
She was on stage. As was Matteo.
“Give it up for my lovely assistant Zoey!”
How long had it been? Was it even the same day? She wasn’t meant to have a show for another week?!
Matteo guided her behind the curtain.
“You did great out there tonight.” He said, smiling down at her.
“What did you do to me?! How long has it been?!” She pulled away from him.
He frowned.
“Oh, no need to worry about all that. Magic isn’t real, remember?” He held his hands ready to snap.
“And neither is hypnosis.” She finished blankly, as she was thrown back into trance.

The Descent
Tumblr media
Imagine a staircase.
You know what it is, and you have a clear and concise understanding of what it's for - to ascend or descend. Simple, right? I could tell you to picture one, and have you focus on the act of walking down; step after step, guiding you into trance via that simple and familiar structure. That's the idea behind many inductions, particularly progressive relaxation: I'll use an image or concept you're familiar with to make you comfortable, then create a scaffolding from associations surrounding it, and finally, I'll operate within that framework to help your mind make new connections between things you've experienced and things you are being asked to do that aren't necessarily as straightforward as "take a step down lower, now."
We could use a beach, instead, and I could describe the inexorable motion of the waves or the constant warmth of the sun and sand. Then, the mechanism of trance becomes the gradual transition into a relaxed state from the influence of the imagined stimuli. The waves make such a soothing sound, don't they? The sand feels nice against your skin, and the sun warms your body just right; those are the associations, the conceptual connections you've made around the topic of discussion. The "image" can be as simple as the single object of a staircase, or as complex as an elaborate beach fantasy.
But are these images really necessary? Do you need to imagine the staircase vividly enough to see it in your mind, or envision the beach effectively enough to feel the sensations of the sand and the sea? What happens if you're not able to do that? Are you unable to go into a hypnotic trance as a result?
In short, no. Like I said, everything presented in those little exercises is a framework, and it uses connections that are familiar to you in order to create a mental state with which you are, perhaps, less well-acquainted. But those connections are not required: not the connotative knowledge, not the intuitive understanding, not even the mental imagery. We hypnotists use the staircase to create an implicit recognition that you are meant to go down it; we describe the beach to intimate the idea of relaxation so you'll accept it as the reasonable outcome.
Ultimately, none of this is important to the mechanism of hypnosis; even the words are, themselves, meaningless when you're being taken into a trance state. That might seem a bit strange to you, considering I'm proposing to mesmerize you using my words, but it remains true nevertheless.
The only thing that matters when going into a trance is your desire to do so. You have to want to be hypnotized. It doesn't make the slightest difference whether or not that inclination is conscious, nor whether you understand what a trance state truly entails. The attraction to going under does, by far, the bulk of the work of putting you there. All the myriad of mental mechanisms are really for is to connect you with that desire, that craving, sufficiently intensely that you drop.
That's not quite everything, of course, we also need to aim your desire at a target - and one that you know, at least on some level, how to reach. But didn't I just say it doesn't make a difference if you understand what a hypnotic state is? As it happens, you're already aware that you can go on a journey without knowing the destination - and that's especially true when there's a trail to follow. If you've been entranced before, this is a very simple task; your brain already knows the path. If you haven't been hypnotized before, that's where things need to get creative, clever, maybe tricky. But do I need to convince you to give up your free will? Of course not, we can save that for later.
In truth, and you might have heard this before, your brain slips into and out of trance states by itself, all the time. That's why it can be somewhat hard to describe either the states themselves or the process to reach them, and it is why we rely on these common analogues to introduce the concept initially. Capturing the essence of anything without implying other, unintentional references, can be surprisingly difficult. It's tough enough to do with objects and with ideas you'd expect to be obvious, let alone with the magnificent mysteries of mesmerism.
Despite that, here you are, so it's pretty clear that you want to be hypnotized...meaning we've got the desire covered, so let's connect with that instead. What does that desire look like, to you? I expect it's a bit harder to picture than a staircase might've been. Where does it come from? That's easier: are you here to be freed from the responsibility and burden of thought? Do you know trance to be a pleasant state? Are you simply curious how it feels? Does the motivation beneath your fascination actually have any impact?
Of course it does, but not for our purposes just now. Just now, we've got you thinking about why you want to go into trance - which means you've acknowledged that you -do- want it. That's more than enough.
Because obviously you want to go into trance. You're here, reading a script designed to hypnotize you. You've not only acknowledged your desire, but acted on it. Navigating to this website is significantly more complicated a task than the mental exercise required of you now. So why not just drop? Why not start your descent?
You already have. Like I said, you've connected with your need to go under hypnosis. You've acted on it. You've read my words, with the hope and expectation that you will be put into a trance as a result. The descent into a hypnotic state has been inevitable, from the moment you started. The only variable, really, is time. How long will it take to conjure the ideal image, the proper parsing of phrase, some sufficiently seductive sound?
But I said none of those things matter, didn't I?
Which brings us, at last, to the important question: did you believe me when I said that? Have you focused on my words long enough to become convinced of the truth of them? Did you, perhaps, already suspect the things I've said to be the case? Because if so, you've already gone into a trance state, and this has become an exploration of your descent.
I told you the words didn't matter, and so they don't matter. I told you the images and concepts aren't important, and so they are not. I told you that the desire to drop, to descend, was sufficient...and so it is. It has been sufficient since you encountered the statement earlier, and you've been reading plenty since then. Each sentence you've accepted with that aspect of wanting - needing - to go into trance sitting comfortably in the back of your head, at the fringe of your consciousness this entire time, has been the structure to guide your descent.
But let's ramp things up a bit, because it may not feel like you're under hypnosis just yet. That's where we get into trouble with preconceptions and expectations. Do you need to be mindless for it to count as a trance state? You certainly can be, but it's not necessary. You need only to be willing to accept what I am telling you. That cooperation needs only to occur more readily than your other thoughts, if there are any.
Consider again the staircase, but let's focus on something much more specific about it. When you take a step down a staircase, there is a point when you have one foot off the ground, hovering over the lower step. In that position, you can perceive the pull of gravity much more effectively than you could a mere moment before. You don't have to picture the staircase to know that feeling; it came to you the instant I described it. There is a sensation almost exactly like that between reading my words and moving on to the next - and the only relevant question is, do you feel the way my words pull on your mind? That sequence has repeated itself with every passing sentence, each successive phrase, until now. You've been walking down a staircase the entire time.
At first, your desire to descend made you defer to my statements - perhaps hesitantly, perhaps not, it's irrelevant. But eventually, you reached a point when you began to accept my words just after you finished reading them. Now you're willing, and able, to trust my words before the statements are even complete.
From here, we can only descend deeper. But you should know, getting to this point was inevitable. You've been on this path all along; I told you, the words and images and concepts aren't important. You want to be hypnotized, and so here you are...hypnotized. Take a bit of time to let yourself ponder your present mental state, your trance state. Draw in a few deep breaths, and relax awhile. Become aware of how pleasant the sensation of being hypnotized is, if you can isolate it. Don't concern yourself over it if you can't yet separate specific components of being entranced - that will come with time.
Then, wake up.
Did you feel that mental shift? If you'd like, start over again. I'll be waiting.
The words still don't matter, only the descent.

Fairy Tale: The Nerd & The Himbo
Tumblr media
My best friend his name is Chris Carmack he is visiting me at my house after living away for a year and after because he isso glad to see me as he comes in with that overly sized white body.My god he is so massively built like a tank I always wanted to covet him for the long term, actually for life because he is so darn fucking hot and I walk in to the kitchen to get us both a drink.
Tumblr media
As he talks for a bit I turn my back digging in to my pocket reaching for a two packets of various crushed pills, I undo them slipping them in to a can of soda as I seal the can back up shaking it intensely. It is to my delight to see him open it quickly as it burst in to the air spilling all over him as he begins to crack up in a fit of laughter at himself and of course unfortunately for him he is left at a stand still unable to calm his own self back to reality.
Tumblr media
“How embarrassing for me huh? Too funny “
“You seem light hearted?”

I am fully dedicated to taking advantage of him because according to every damn guy and girl except for the weird exceptions I am not good enough and yes is it cruel totally but whatever. I sly walk to the side do my long length side mirror across the room guiding him to follow me, be at my side as he does so effortlessly his body is towering over my with his godly physique.

His mind could never match mine at all due to his self a battle do wills could ensue if I let it but I won’t ever let him go free even again he mind now and soon he will always have been mine.No questions asked! He stares blankly in to the mirror awaiting my commands I smirk a bit admiring his body as I take my time to be able to decipher what is possible and it is not like he cares.

it's pretty much his canon talent, but Ultimate Hypnotist Ryota?
o7
His first exposure to hypnosis was a magician who also did hypnosis as a “trick” at a birthday party. It was only after that Ryota realized just how much more there was to hypnotism.
He’s read just about every article and research paper out there on how hypnosis works and its benefits, all to prepare himself for administering hypnotism for his own patients.
He can still do what he needs to while at Hope’s Peak, so it’s fine enough for him to be there. Though, he also prepares for questions about whether he manipulates people with hypnosis.
Even though he knows that his classmates probably just see it as a party trick, Ryota’s worked with enough patients that he knows that hypnosis can actually work for some people.
Part of his goal as a hypnotist is to spread real information about the practice, instead of it being passed off as just a trick or something fake. He’d seen the results himself, after all.

For the last few days I've been fantasizing about 2 things:
The first: Having an "office" where the staff are the most beautiful girls I can think of, that I know irl or from TikTok and stuff. There, all the girls are wearing one of those cool earphones that work with vibrations through the cranium instead of waves through the ear canal, so that they're listening to especially designed audio files synchronized to their daily schedule, so that they know exactly what to think, say, do and get triggered. They'd be programmed and conditioned 24/7 cause that's their brain now, and it can't be removed unless under instructions.
I'd be the CEO there, and even though they'd be trained to please anyone who needs something from them, my own presence and image would be the ultimate trigger and they'd just enter full drone mode, ready to be used and obey or become anything I tell them.
The second one: As part of the same harem's office/house, one of them would be my personal assistant, which, besides being also completely conditioned as the other girls, she'd actually be a skilled hypnotist that has power over me to some extent (cause she'd be acting under my commands and instructions anyway), so that I could become anything I want in order to expand the number of scenarios between me and my slaves to infinite posibilites. No limitations. Only pleasure, only obedience.
Ohh... I love the way you think! I would like to apply for the job in your office 🫣🫠

I feel like Jervis and Hugo would make each other normal (they would literally make each other so much worse)
I'm literally writing a fic right now about them making each other normal (worse). They would fuel each other's fucked up kinks <3 But honestly, at the same time they would make each other better in some ways as well. I love that cute shit <33
And this is where I could have ended this response, but because I love these two so much and think about them all the time, I wrote all this:
It depends on the writer just how ”aware” Jervis is. Some writers like to write him permanently stuck in Wonderland and in some versions (mostly Pre-Crisis) it's like he's never even been there. I prefer the versions somewhere in between; the ones where he's lucid most of the time, but slips back into Wonderland under stress. And I especially like the versions where, at times, it is unclear whether he is actually in Wonderland or just faking it to get out off a situation (think Gotham Central #19-22).
I'm saying all this, because Jervis' awareness is very key to how I write this relationship. Aside from those moments when he is genuinely in Wonderland and genuinely disconnected from reality, he is very aware and has a very keen eye in my verse. This comes from the whole hypnotist and general Mind Games World Champion thing. I think as a hypnotist Jervis needs to be very good at reading people to know exactly what to say and do to put people under his spell. And given that he is an expert in mind games himself, it is impossible to play mind games with him. In general, I love the contradiction of a character who pretends to not even be here mentally most of the time, being actually incredibly keen eyed, smart and fucking with people's heads. They think he's lost his mind, but they're the ones who are about to lose their minds. He might seem like he doesn't understand what's going on at all, and sometimes that really is the case, but most of the time he knows exactly what's happening – even better than most people.
How this relates to Hugo is that he basically has immunity to Hugo's bullshit. You cannot play mind games with him, because he knows every trick in the book. He was there when mind games were invented. My Jervis is like a human lie detector, if lie detectors actually worked and Hugo, as we know, is a big fat liar. I love it, I love it, I love it. Hugo cannot stop lying, it's so second nature to him that he lies even when he doesn't necessarily need to and every time, every time Jervis catches him on it. This is where it's at for me. Hugo has been Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlbossing his way though life for 52 years and suddenly there's this 150cm tall 48-year-old man who finally tells him to shut the fuck up. I love it. Immovable object, unstoppable force. I love it.
I just love the frustration that it ignites in Hugo when he cannot lie to get what he wants, when someone is forcing him to be genuine for the first time in over 50 years. I think it would remind Hugo of being young. See, he wasn't born a Girlboss, he had to learn how to Gaslight, how to Gatekeep. He was always shitty and was trying to manipulate and control others from a young age, but it was hard. He made mistakes and things didn't always work out and it left him frustrated. And it's all happening again now, his bullshit doesn't work on Jervis and it makes him feel frustrated, angry and finally depressed. But ultimately, it is all for the better.
I think it's evident reading Pre-Crisis Hugo issues, that he wanted people around him and not just as his little minions that he would dispose of when they weren't of use to him anymore. He has those too, of course, but I'm saying he wouldn't have made sure Magda wasn't defenseless if worse came to pass, had he not truly cared for her, he wouldn't have healed Bruce's wounds and ”died” to protect his secret, had he not cared for him. He wanted people around him and he deeply cared for the few people he was close with. All of his relationships are fucked up, because he is fucked up, but it is clear to me that this man both wanted to love others and was capable of loving others.
He wants people around, but I think it's very difficult for him to let anyone that close. Even though in my verse Jervis is the one person next to Batman (and mayyyybe Joker) that he respects, I don't think that he would ever even consider letting Jervis close, letting Jervis see behind the lies. But that's just the thing, Jervis saw thought them anyway. It was like he was forced to let Jervis close, because he couldn't keep him away. And as stated, it makes him frustrated, angry and even depressed, but ultimately, it is for the better. It does him good to be genuine around someone for once. To stop lying for two seconds and just be himself. It does actually make him more normal.
For example, if Hugo was upset over something, his first response would be to lie that he wasn't, as to not seem weak. Think of when Thorne had him kidnapped and beaten by thugs and Hugo was still going on about how: ”Threats mean nothing to Hugo Strange! You mean nothing to Hugo Strange!” Yet, after he had faked his death, he spent so much time and effort on getting his revenge on Thorne – TWICE. This man had to avenge what he suffered in Thorne's hands TWICE. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure the torture did mean something to Hugo Strange. Plus, we have seen countless times the way he responds to his plans not working out: faking his own death. Seriously, the tiniest thing goes wrong and he's out there faking his death again. This man CANNOT handle setbacks.
Imagine now if Jervis caught him on that first lie, when he pretends to not be upset. Imagine he was forced to face the fact that he very much is upset. Imagine he had go through that emotion, instead of running away from it (to his ”grave”). If he actually sat through that emotion, he would find it isn't the end. It wasn't that bad. Life goes on. Jervis could never fix him, but I do think that he could make him more normal.
And what does Jervis get out of all this? Well, he gets to play with Hugo's nice round ass <3

Have you ever heard of an unsafe hypnotist become safe again? What does that look like?
Yes I have, and redemption is 100% possible. Most of the time, in fact, when I do a callout post about an unsafe hypnotist... if that callout is based on a personal experience, then I reach out to that person first and offer them a genuine chance to reform and stop doing the things they are doing. No one has ever taken me up on it - they usually nuke their account and we play whack-a-mole - but I offer it nonetheless, and the offer is genuine.
Anyway, one important thing to remember is that behaviors are unsafe, ultimately, not people. When a person throws up enough red flags through their behavior it is worthwhile to warn people away from them, or at least let them know what to expect... but past choices are not a moral condemnation or a stain, they are just choices. And, you can always choose differently. I think people very often feel locked into the shape of their tomorrows by what their yesterdays looked like, as though they cannot choose to change because the expectations of others construct their sense of self for them more than their own choices and self-determination does... but that's not true. We always, every day, decide who we are and what we do. We can decide tomorrow to be different, to change course... whether that means being more respectful of boundaries and becoming more grounded in a sex-positive consent culture, or whether that means stepping away from a toxic relationship, or whether that means changing our outward expression of our gender identity or sexuality, or whether that means something outside of all of those... we can do it. We do not need anyone else's permission to change.
That said, people do what they do for a reason. People make the choices they do because it gets them the things they want. In order to change, a person needs to first look at why they did the things they did, and get an honest, non-judgmental answer to that question. If they are starting to understand that their actions hurt people, and they were still deciding to do them anyway because it was getting them something else... then why did that something else matter more to them than the harm they were doing? That answer is going to be different from person to person, but they need to take a look in the mirror to get their answer before they can start to unravel the core of that toxic behavior by undermining the motivations behind it. Once they do that, and get to a point where other things matter more to them than that past reward does, then they won't even want to do the things they once did any more.
After addressing the roots, they need to cultivate other rewarding things to take the place that toxic behavior once did in their life. Whether that is cultivating a consensual sexual relationship with someone, or making new friends, or getting a new hobby, or something else entirely... that will vary. And, sometimes it might require an online "reset" the same as those folks who play the aforementioned game of Whack-a-Mole do, a new nickname and a fresh start because of the way people see things... but it also might not. There is no one road map to what change looks like, because no two people are the same. But, you have to be willing to do the work, and walk the walk, and even then understand that some people will not and might never trust you. The nature of burned bridges is that sometimes they stay that way forever.

Musings and Safeties: Submission is Voluntary
Tumblr media
And as a hypnotic subject or a general submissive, if you find yourself in a scene where the 'Dom' or 'Tist' doesn't get that, kindly have the presence of spirit to tell them to fuck off.
You always have to remember that it's YOUR surrender... YOUR submission...
Even if you are into non-con play, covert hypnosis, forced submission play or unaware brainwashing, always know that YOU are the one that needs to agree to it. Anyone that tries to convince you otherwise has no business enjoying your submission.
I say all this because someone asked me to better explain why I stated, in my previous post, that "the subject controls the hypnosis they allow the hypnotist to perform".
Broken down in simple terms, it simply means that as a subject, you should ALWAYS have the last say as to what you are made to experience. You should ALWAYS have a way to wake up or stop a scene. On the surface, you might be completely powerless under your hypnotist's dominance, but that doesn't mean that on the deeper, true level of your interaction, you aren't in control.
Or at least, if you are in a healthy scene, you should be and if you are not, that's a MAJOR red flag.
It can be a little confusing and counter intuitive, I know...
You need to think about it as if you were in a BDSM type relationship. In Dominance/submission play, the one that ultimately holds the reins is the sub. Meaning that they are the ones giving themselves to the Dom. They have all the power when it comes to limits and what they allow the Dom to do with them. They CHOOSE to partake in a power-exchange that places them beneath the other.
In that same sense, a hypnosis subject isn't a 'victim' of the trance even if some subjects love to experience covert inductions or 'forced' inductions. Just like in BDSM, the scene you are doing might appear, on the surface to be wholly non-consensual. But that's JUST the surface.
It's the fantasy you both chose to enjoy together and at the end of the day in your heart of hearts, it was still your choice to do it.
The subject ALLOWS the hypnotist to take control.
The subject ALLOWS the hypnotist to do a certain list of things to them.
In hypno-kink a safe practice to use when you begin to explore is to make sure you always have a way to stop a scene or session. Like, for example, using a safe word.
Safe words can be used by the subject to bring themselves out of trance. It doesn't matter what they are. The important thing is to spend some time with your hypnotist so they can implant that idea in your mind in a way that remains always accessible to you even if you are deeply entranced.
If your hypno-play is less intense or doesn't flirt as much with the non-consent part of the kink, then another way you can stay in control is to use setup that enables you to communicate with your hypnotist without waking up.
A typical example of this would be to use a color code: Green means all is well, yellow means to slow down or change directions and red means stop.
THAT is what I meant when I said that a subject controls the hypnosis.
If you are with a hypnotist that can't be bothered to accept this, then it is another MAJOR RED flag.
We are all here to enjoy the power play hypno-kink offers (as well as Dominance/submissive or BDSM play), but it's very important to remember that THAT power play is only possible through mutual consent.
And were there isn't consent, there is abuse and in some cases, a felony.
So again, if you find yourself experiencing your kink with someone that can't understand that the 'Dom' or 'Tist' isn't the one that is truly in control, then kindly tell them to FUCK off.

I just want to say i adore your blog, you really are a skilled hypnotist. If you don't mind me asking, any advice on people starting out on hypnosis?
Hey hey! Thank you very much ☺️☺️ It’s truly all because I have the best Muse in Riot. I see on your blog you’re a sub, so I’ll cater my response to more of what you’ll find helpful.
If you’re just starting out, the first thing to really remember, is that not all flavors are for you. Just because something might not feel good in your mind when you try, doesn’t mean you failed! It means you found what not to try again. Just like in all kink! Even niche subgenres like this.
Ideal scenario you’ll have a kink partner in someone you wholly trust, it makes things infinitely better and safer. To somewhat break kayfabe here, a lot of Hypno is about what you want to let work. There’s a lot of sensationalized content about how “I can change your personality,” or the most common DM I see, “can you make me like *insert something something I currently don’t like here*?” No. I can’t. But I can indulge the things you like! I’m not like Broken Matt Hardy, I can’t just Delete You, and then sloppily replace you with a personality named after a Disney Character.
Ultimately, it’s just about having fun. Letting your inhibitions fade away, do the things that may seem a little cringy on the surface, and realize you actually like it!
Hypno is a lot like Professional Wrestling. It’s a blend of real practiced talent and skill in what you do, coupled with willful suspending of disbelief. When you realize it’s a blend of performance and authenticity, is where you’ll find the sweet spot. I’m as good as I am at this, because I know how to walk the line between the two well. And that just takes time to develop for yourself. Just jump in, and enjoy yourself.

stage hypnosis straightbreaking? yes it's me again. big on hypnosis. also, what's your favourite cereal?
Hey sorry it took so long, I just know absolutely nothing about hypnosis, so I was like "help what do I say". Anyway I love Reese's Puffs.
In the ultimate lesbian utopia, there would be plenty of theatre halls packed with predatory lesbians! All watching with drooling mouths, wet cunts, and aching cocks. Each night, there would be a list of "straight" girls on display while a seasoned straightbreaker hypnotizes them into doing and saying things they wouldn't normally do. The straightbreaker might convince a girl to talk about her fantasies about being fucked by women for hours, each perverted detail being met with the wet sounds of lesbians getting themselves off. Or maybe the straightbreaker might have a girl drop to her knees and stick her tongue out as audience members are selected to come test her out. Some hypnotists are even known for having the girls straightbreak each other, tricking them into having desperate sex with the other one. When the show is over, the hypnosis is broken, but the girls' newfound lusts for women is not.

did I ever mention that at one point I was going to make a fangan populated entirely by humanized rollercoasters. did I ever talk about that. I don’t think I did. give me a minute
[ under cut ]
This was the protagonist, Suzuho. based on Steel Dragon 2000. I made her an adventurer, because, steel dragon is the longest coaster and thus “covers the most ground”. (also made a mistake on the second image. it’s supposed to say “strong sense of JUSTICE” but I must’ve accidentally deleted the last part)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Smiler-based guy named Wilbur. decided to go against the typical Smiler OC “chaos demon” protocol and make a polite introvert. the smiler is a very self-contained rollercoaster with a small footprint, plus hypnotists should have calming voices and presences to properly entrance people, so I figured making him more restrained and introverted would be a interesting yet explainable subversion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and this was a beta design for a girl based on Formula Rossa named Laura. Ultimate Race Car Driver obviously
Tumblr media
I had an Ultimate ??? based on Kingda Ka in the works, never drew him. I had other characters planned as well, but I won’t talk about them unless people are for some reason interested in the rest of them.
that’s all though. just wanted to let you know about a weird project I was working on for a little while
